What Can I Pay With At Mushroom Farm?
We accept Malawian Kwacha, U.S. Dollars, British Pounds, and Euros as forms of payment. There are no ATM’s at Mushroom Farm or in Livingstonia so be sure to bring enough cash for your stay. The closest ATM’s are located north of us in Karonga or south of us in Mzuzu. There are also banks in both of these cities where you can exchange currency if needed. We also accept Airtel Money, Mpamba, PayPal, and visa cards [when the network cooperates], but charge a 5% processing fee on top of your total bill.
Do you have WI-FI?
We offer free WI-FI to all guests staying at Mushroom Farm, but we encourage everyone to ditch the screen time, and meet a new friend!
What type of food is offered at the restaurant?
Our restaurant serves an all-vegetarian menu. We offer a breakfast and lunch menu, and one set meal for dinner every night [that will rotate throughout your stay]. We do our best to accommodate any special dietary requirements such as vegan or gluten-free individuals. To help us prepare please let us know ahead of time if you have dietary restrictions.
*Please note that all of our food is made from scratch and cooked over the fire-- for that reason we stop taking dinner orders at 4pm to allow the kitchen staff enough time to cook. Please let us know if you are planning to arrive after 4 pm and would like us to include you for dinner!
Is there somewhere to charge my electronic devices?
We offer a charging station at the bar for guests to use from 8AM-5PM. We are currently on a full solar power system at the farm, limiting charging hours for guests. Take this opportunity on the mountain to put away your electronic devises and chat with the friends you have around you!
